    1954 Corvette Roadster - MATCHING #'S WITH CORRECT DATES ON ALL COMPONENTS - The 39th Corvette built in 1954 after the 300 built in Corvette's first year in 1953. CORVETTE HISTORY - After an enthusiastic response at the 1953 GM Motorama shows, the very first 300 Corvettes were assembled at a temporary location in Flint, Michigan. Production moved to St. Louis, Missouri for 1954 models and started on December 29, 1953. Twenty-five "54s were built in Flint. This car was the 13th car produced in St. Louis. Corvette production remained in St. Louis until it moved to Bowling Green, Kentucky in 1981. This car has an approximate birth date of 1/4/54-one week after St. Louis commenced production. 3,640 Corvettes were built in 1954 and she was the 39th built. The body is a leftover 1953, evidenced by the fiberglass pattern seen through the paint. In 1953 all Corvettes were white. In 1954, they continued with white but also built four black and 133 red cars. This car is 1 of 133 built in 1954. CAR HISTORY - Base equipment included Blue Flame Six rated at 150 hp, vinyl interior trim and soft top.
