    Owner Comments:
This E type is not restored! I purchased 12/98 @ 32,000 miles in which the E type had a dash clock inop, windshield pitted, rear hatch window was chipped, dash pad had a crack in the center, clear coat was beginning to let go and there were coolant leaks from various engine components but it was 100% original, purchased from second owner who owned for 5 years in which he had purchased from estate sale as 1st owner had passed away and his kid was selling off the car collection, these 2 previous owners lived in Michigan and during winter the E type was stored in their heated garages, this E type has never seen any salt as there is NO RUST. I picked up in 1/99 and drove back to San Diego in 3 days with no problems only to find out the engine was worn out. FYI, the E type is all numbers matching per Jaguar Heritage Cert # 50184, since purchasing any and all repairs needed were done as needed using OEM or OEM after market parts by a Jaguar E type specialist since 1989 and Volvo specialist since 1977, (me). At present, NO REPAIRS ARE NEEDED, mileage is @ 61,639 miles, engine rebuilt in 1999 @ 35,000 miles to pre 1967 standards of 9:1 compression with the following upgrades, cylinder head done as needed to run unleaded fuel, conversion to the 3 SU side draft carbs w/03-UVR performance needles and heated intake manifold, 1-2-3 optical ignition distributor with MSD ignition control, spin on oil filter conversion with EZ oil drainer, HD high efficency radiator, rebuilt water pump, all cooling system hoses, thermostat & housing with heater core cleaned/ repaired, complete exhaust system w/ headers and Schneider reground cams w/ profile 270F. Repainted 2003, down to metal, original color w/ best clear coat available at time w/ all seals and glass needed. Recent repairs include, brakes, front end, 4 BF Goodrich Redline tires, updated front engine seal and HD motor mounts and a complete major service w/ fluids flushed. Lastly, as any E type owner knows the biggest improvement one could ask for is a cold blowing A/C system which is in this E type. A updated R134a system w/ a Bosch 80 amp alternator and V belt conversion. A/C system has a light weight 5 piston compressor, low pressure safety switch, a 5-8 second delay relay after engine start up, full throttle compressor cut off, adjustable thermostat w/ 3 speed fan, HD radiator puller & pusher fans, btw, A/C can be run at maximum cooling as engine still runs at normal operating temp. I live in Jamul, far eastern part of San Diego in the sticks, considered high desert which yesterdays temp was near 100, wiring diagram w/ part numbers also included.
