    Owner Comments:
I have owned this truck since 1982. I bought it used in good condition. I fitted the box canopy. In 1992 a long block was done by a craftsman mechanic. The engine is a straight six. In 1994 a new radiator and water pump were installed. I installed backing mirrors, one has since been stolen. In 1998 a new differential was installed In 2002 the entire body was reconstructed. The vehicle was stripped down to the chassis, the box rebuilt with new steel welded into the bed and a new front end made. The cab was disassembled, repaired and remounted on new pads. The front bulkhead was replaced with a used one in good condition. New door seals and window seals were installed and the door mechanisms repaired or replaced. All body parts were repaired, cleaned and painted on the inside with Zero-Rust. The electrical harness was re-installed by a very good mechanic who took pride in maintaining this vehicle. In 2015 the outside was meticulously sanded, smoothed and painted by Maaco. The windshield was replaced with a new one. The badly dented passenger door was replaced. In 2016 the engine was re-tuned with new points and condenser. In 2019 the bench seat was completely disassembled, painted, lubricated and completely new padding installed with a new cover. The dash and interior was painted. A new wiper motor was installed. The tires from Big O have less than 3000 miles. The transmission is strong. First gear is what is called a “stump puller” gear, very low and almost never used unless heavily loaded. However, having pulled many stumps, the gear is misnamed, it is not ideal for pulling stumps. Anyone accustomed to today’s automatics will find this 1966 technology requires a bit of learning. This truck has served me well, hauling yards of gravel and soil, yard waste, bags of concrete, steel, drywall and wood. The box holds standard 4x8 sheets of plywood with tailgate closed. This 1966 Ford pickup is not a junker so I will not consider low bids.
