1946 CADILLAC FLEETWOOD SERIES 60 SPECIAL - ORIGINAL CONDITION - 60,000 ORIGINAL MILES This original condition Cadillac also has some great history. The original owner of the car was Mr. Louis Montgomery DuCommun, a wealthy San Francisco businessman who ordered the car new in 1946. On October 1, 1946, he sent his chauffeur, Mr. Lee to Detroit to take delivery of the car and drive it to San Francisco. For the next 20 years, the car was chauffeur driven by Mr. Lee for Mr. DuCommun. The car was willed to Mr. Lee upon DuCommun’s death in 1966. The car became Mr. Lee’s most prized possession and he pampered it for the next 40 years. After Mr. Lee’s death in 2006 the family sold the car to Bayard Guild, a car collector in Dover, Maine. Upon Guild’s passing in 2007 the car went into storage and was purchased by the most recent collector who returned the car back to California. The car was purchased by its current owners, Mr. Jason Stephens and Mr. Todd Gale in December 2018. Mr. Gale is the grandson of the owner of Tate Motors in Pomona, California – a notable Cadillac and Pontiac dealership for over 50 years. The car currently resides in Palm Springs.
