The body on the car is overall very clean and rust free. The car is finished in its gorgeous original Mercedes color of Classic White. Carfax shows a clean history with no reported accidents or damages. The car has been completely inspected underneath from front to back and is solid as a rock as any collector car should be. It is riding on the original 15" wheels with the correct Michelin tires that are still in good shape! The windshield is like new with no chips. The hard top has good seals and the headliner is in awesome shape. The interior is in great shape all around. The door panels are in like new condition. The supple original Palomino leather seats are all in very good condition and look very nice with no rips and very minimal ware lines, which shows the quality of leather used in this car. The dash is as it came from Mercedes and has not been capped or repaired. There is a small crack coming off of one of the defroster vents where the dash meets the windshield and is hard to notice. The carpets are all very nice and are not worn or damaged. All dials and controls function as they should, power windows and antenna also are fully functional. All lights, gauges switches, and accessories work as they should. This interior is in excellent condition and really matches the quality of the rest of the car. The trunk compartment is clean enough to eat from. The spare tire compartment is clean as a whistle and the original spare tire is present. Original jack is in place and the tool kit is even still in the original bag. Mechanically, this SL runs GREAT! The car starts right up. The V8 engine is surprisingly quick and responsive. It is reliable, easy to fix, and parts are readily available. This car has an extensively documented service history that shows many large service items that have been addressed including: timing chain set and recent AC service.
