    Owner Comments:
This 1947 Ford convertible can be classified as a “Super Custom One-Of-A- Kind”. This custom has been featured in “Good Guys”, “Street Rodder” and featured twice (a feat rarely afforded to only a rare few of the top elite world class vehicles) in the prestigious “Rodders Journal.” With a certified appraisal stating build replacement costs at $400,000 - $500,000, this is truly a quality collector vehicle. Renowned GM Stylist/Designer Harry Bradley designed the concept of this custom. The features of the build are endless, highlights are: -1951 Kaiser front grill, custom modified to fit. -1952 Studebaker windshield, chopped. -G.E. Marine spotlight headlights. -Flush rear taillights. -Extensive body modifications. -Hand formed moldings and trims, flush mount fitted into body. -Formed and fabricated dash with 1961 Chrysler center mount cluster with custom integrated gauges. Dash features custom machined dash knobs. -Side mirrors integrated into the dash. -Custom cast steering wheel by J.B. Donaldson of Phoenix AZ. -1965 Cadillac tilt-telescopic steering column. -Front fender skirts that automatically actuate open/close when steering around corners or curves. -1966 Buick Rivera front seats, custom narrowed 4” then covered with Oyster leather and green Ultrasuede inserts. Flooring covered with bone wool carpeting. Upholstery was done by Warren Morimoto of Long Beach CA. -The removable top is custom formed over an original clay buck mold to fit the body then layered up with fiberglass then the back glass was curved and cut from a donor windshield. The headliner is covered in Oyster Ultrasuede matching the seats. -1968 Chevelle front and rear clips were mated to the chassis that was strengthened with 2”x5” rectangular tube side rails. -Front suspension includes 1968 Chevelle A-arms, Pro Shocks coil-overs, 1968 Chevelle sway bar and steering. -Front wheelcovers are billet aluminum custom machined by Don Gyra, reminiscent of the 1953 Cadillac style but fabricated 2” larger diameter, finished with Cadillac logo emblems by McVey. -Rear suspension is 1968 Chevelle rear end with 3.42:1 ring and pinion, air shocks with on-board pump, 1968 Chevelle coil springs, triangulated 4-bar and sway bar. -Rear wheels are S-10 centers, 5-1/2x15 rims by McLean with Chevy pickup beauty rings. -Tires on all corners are P205/65R15 BFG Touring T/A radials. -Brakes are 1968 Chevelle with front disc and rear drum with ECI Corvette dual power master cylinder. -A 1970 Cadillac Eldorado 500ci big block engine was bored .060 over then matched with a 10.0:1 compression Clay Smith hydraulic cam with 0.525 lift, hardened exhaust seats, stock intake manifold. -Chromed 1951 Caddy valve covers with machined aluminum adaptors, HEI ignition and a 4-barrel carb was then topped with a 1953 Cadillac air cleaner. -Engine package and machine work by Scotten Racing Engines with final engine assembly by Dave Jewell of San Diego CA. -The GM Turbo 400 transmission and converter is stock. -Griffin 2 row aluminum radiator. -Chrome and polishing by Christianson Plating, Vernon CA. -2” tubing exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. -Rock Valley polished fuel tank. -Vintage A/C. -Sony AM/FM/CD with external speakers fitted into package tray. -Finished exterior paint is PPG dark green basecoat with pearl; covered with PPG candy green with clear urethane clear topcoat.
