    Owner Comments:
1950 Chrysler New Yorker Four-Door Sedan • “Spitfire” Eight with 325.5 c.i.d. • 135 horsepower • 131.5-inch wheelbase • Prestomatic Fluid Drive • $2,758 base price The four-door sedan configuration accounted for the majority of the 29,335 New Yorkers made for the model year. This car was purchased new in McMinnville, Oregon, by a woman who was in her mid-fifties at the time. She drove the car very little and it was kept garaged and serviced until her age brought this to an end. She gave the car to her daughter who lived in Klamath Falls. Although the daughter did not particularly want the car, she thought her husband might like to drive it; he did not. The couple had three daughters of their own and it was given to them as a “joint” project. Only one of them had any real interest and that soon waned. The car went back to their parents in Klamath Falls where it sat in a carport until the best thing to do was sell it. It was sold in February 1988 with 33,828 miles to a collector and Chrysler enthusiast in San Francisco. It remained there for ten years until it was sold to the next owner in October 1998. Since that time it has been a Southern California resident being given meticulous care and improvements. Newer paint and chrome work have given this handsome Chrysler an impeccable presence wherever it goes. The interior is original with pristine jade green steering wheel, glistening dashboard and unblemished plastic components throughout. The wool broadcloth shows little wear after the now 39,100 miles on the odometer A WPC Western Region first-place award winner and Beverly Hills Greystone Concours participant in 2016.
