1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-Dr. Hardtop. 350 cu. in. small block with a Holley 4bbl. atop a polished Weiand Supercharger. TH400 Automatic Transmission, Power Steering with 605 style box, Power Disc Brakes, Air Conditioning, Tilt Wheel, Tinted Glass and Custom Stereo with CD Stacker. The exterior is finished in Torch Red, applied over a stunning rust free southern California original sheet metal body. The chrome and stainless trim are nearly flawless. The body fit is exceptional. This beauty rides on a set of vintage style 15" Cragar 5-spoke mag wheels, shod with 215/60/15 Good Year Eagle ST's up front and 255/60/15 Eagle ST's in the rear. The interior features custom cloth upholstery, cloth headliner, Boyds leather wrapped billet steering wheel, and all new, custom tinted glass. In fact, the previous owner aquired the car (for the sum of $85,000) from a resident of Coto de Caza, who stated that this amazing Bel Air was one of Boyd Coddington's early projects. However, we have no documentation to support that theory. The stock gauges are complimented by an additional temperature gauge to keep an eye on whats going on under the hood. The trunk is carpeted to match the interior, creating a quieter ride. Mechanically, the powerful small block is mated to a TH400 Automatic transmission. The headers and complete custom dual exhaust are coated with a ceramic coating. The engine starts easily and has good manners, despite the performance nature of this beast! It idles nicely and runs cool, thanks in part to the aftermarket radiator and electric fan. The front of the engine is set up with a billet aluminum accessory drive belt system. With the supercharger and the chrome and billet accents, this is one engine bay you will be proud to show off! The undercarriage features a powder coated frame and other components as well as some parts finished in gloss black paint, which provides evidence of a frame-off build (an often over used term). There is no rust, and the floors look amazing! Overall, this is an amazing build that would cost in excess of $100k if you were to duplicate it today.
