This is a 1951 Willy's Overland Jeepster. These charming vehicles were built in limited number between 1948 and 1951. This 1951 model has been a show winner from Detroit to Palm Springs and its latest winnings were here at the Casual Concours where it received best in class. The restoration and re-engineering process has been extensive. But executed to maintain the styling integrity of it original industrial designer Brooks Stevens. It has a 350 Chevy Corvette motor, automatic transmission, power disk brakes, jaguar suspension with inboard rear disk rotors. The body has been totally disassembled and restored. It's been painted with three coats of primer, two coats of color and two coats of clear. It has a complete show quality chrome package. Many items have been replaced like door sills, doorhandles, front and rear bumpers, front bumper guards, front stainless steel chrome grill crossbars, brake lines, metal fuel tank, steering coupler, side mirrors, taillights. It has five new white wall tires new hubcaps beauty rings and painted wheels mounted and balanced and the list goes on and on. The engine compartment has been fitted with an Edelbrock carburetor, electronic fuel pump, Summitt electronic ignition and new battery have been installed to name a few. It has a custom gauge package, shifter and a new Sony CD receiver MP3 player with USB. It has been meticulously restored and updated for your owning and driving pleasure.
