Some cars are bought to add to a collection and are never driven. Some cars are bought to drive, they make it to Cars and Coffee on the weekends, they do parades, they are admired, honked at and constantly get the 'thumbs up'. People stop you to tell you the stories they have when they had the same car. That is this car, it's a solid driver. The car had a bunch of maintenance and minor restoration done in 2016, then it was parked and driven occasionally with extreme pleasure. This is a fast and fun car to drive, the side pipes are an added bonus of great sounding American muscle. The car is currently kept covered in air-conditioned garage in Palm Springs. This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette soft top convertible is powered by a replacement 327/350hp V8 with side pipes, paired with a four-speed manual transmission. This is not a number matching car, the CE number that is CE6N21012. The white soft top is in great shape, the top framework articulates up and down smoothly and the weather stripping was renewed in 2016. In 2016 the whole car was gone through and freshened up. Not much is known about the history of the car, although originally it was an East Coast car, and at some point somebody paid good money for a repaint from Rally Red to Lynndale Blue and change the red interior to black. The paint is in good shape and shines up incredibly nice, there are the typical signs of a car that is driven- there are some chips, small random area of light paint bubbling and very small and minor cracking in one area in drivers side rear. This car did not originally come with, nor does it now have air conditioning or power steering. All chrome and body pieces, both interior and exterior are in place, functional and look fantastic.
