    Owner Comments:
This 1965 Ford Thunderbird is a Fourth Generation model and shows very well. The body is straight and clean with fresh white paint that has very few chips and scratches. The beautiful red interior is accessed through a cavernous entryway when the doors are fully opened. Entry is made more gracious for the ladies with the included sliding steering wheel. Once seated, the "wrap- around" center console defines the driver area from the passenger section with "Jet-age" styling. The main windows are driven electrically, while the "wing-vents" are hand-operated. This generation of Thunderbird accents that mid-sixties "Right stuff" mentality. Under the hood is a very clean engine bay with a 390ci V8 mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. The only modifications made have been in the form of more modern upgrades including an HEI distributor and the dual-reservoir brake master cylinder. This car came with AC, but the bracket and compressor were removed, and the lines plugged. That is a relatively simple modern upgrade for a new owner. For Ford, this was NOT a "sports" car. The T-Bird is considered a "personal luxury vehicle" and the trunk certainly brings that out. It is amazingly roomy and the bright red, wall-to-wall carpeting in this one is uber clean. Within the trunk are assorted spare parts for the vehicle to include fender skirts, original valve covers and brake cylinder, and other miscellaneous items. There are also shop and wiring diagram manuals included. The undercarriage is typical for a road going vehicle. The dual- exhaust is the highlight and there are no serious leaks present in the engine, transmission, or rear axle. This 1965 Ford Thunderbird was built during America's Race to Space and has all the "Right Stuff" for a new owner.
