1981 DeLorean DMC-12 - Back To The Future Time Machine Replica... Built by Video Bob Moseley of Texas TV Cars of Dallas, TX. Video Bob is the only builder that is endorsed by Kevin Pike, the designer/builder of the original movie cars. Many of the props on the car were created using the original molds and design drawings from 1984, when the first movie was made. The build started with a original 36000 mile California car. Though the movie car was a 5 speed, an automatic transmission car was chosen due to the habit of slamming the driver's knuckles into the time circuit housing when shifting to 3rd gear. General maintenance was performed on the car before the build was started. This included, brakes, tires, tune up, new seat uphulstury and so on.
