    1966 SHELBY COBRA REPLICA

    It is a replica car of a 1966 Shelby Cobra (Racing Version), body style 427 made by L.A. Exotics, noted to be one of the top five leading Cobra Manufacturers of the day. This Cobra features many of the amenities for authenticity of the original cars. There is a Chrome Roll Bar, Chrome side pipes, and Lemans style gas cap, Wing window and tinted Sun visors. Bumper- etts front and rear, Hallibrand style wheels with Knock off spinner wings, Firestone racing tires. Strutted hood and trunk lids, Genuine VDO multi gauge instrument upholstered dashboard with multi colored toggle switches for essential functions, and there are True-Lock color matched safety belts with wooden steering wheel. It was previously registered in California as a "SB100, smog exempt car"; re- registered "smog exempt" in Nevada as of 2010 and has lost it's California SB100 smog exemption. (Nevada License 1COBRA) VIN: AZ184676. 351CID Ford Cleveland 4V motor - 1972 Cylinders have bored out .020 making a total Cubic Inch Displacement of 360 TRW forged alloy-racing pistons with a compression ratio of 9.25 to 1 Piston rings are Chrome Moly Steel (best for high Compression engines) Main bearings are Michigan #77 The crankshaft is balanced, blueprinted and polished for better performance Camshaft is a Crower cam with 258-degree exhaust duration and a 465-degree lift. This will allow the engine to breath and that is what makes horsepower manageable, and fun. Lifters are Sealed Power Performance hydraulic lifters Heads: Sealed Power valve guides and seals with new Manley valves High velocity oil pump and oversized oil pan; oil capacity = 7 quarts with filter The intake is "Edelbrock Throttle Body Fuel Injection System", which includes a ECM (Electronic Control Module) wiring harness and exhaust gas sensor; a high efficiency electric fuel pump. The system will read the exhaust during the running and adjust the fuel mixture accordingly. Fuel capacity = 17 gallons Electric Cooling Fans Two Flex-a-lite Model FIX 3398-2800 CFM Direct Fit Fans; one fan starts with the engine, the second fan is controlled by the Red switch on the dash, and is used at speeds less than 45 mph. This car runs hotter then most; about 225 degrees, no hotter then 260. It cools at a constant speed of 50 to 75 mph. Frame - The frame is made from tubular steel and completely welded at all connections Front End - Ford Mustang II, independent suspension Steering - Manuel Rack and Pinion Brakes - Four Wheel Independent Disc Brakes with Brake Booster with Dual Piston SSBC A28136 Assembly Transmission - It is a Ford FMX automatic transmission. The engine and transmission came out of a Boss Mustang Automobile and it is very strong and durable. It is set up to car shift automatically or manually through a B&M 80681 Z- Gate Automatic Shifter Transmission cooling - There is a B&M Trans cooler located in the front of the car. Rear Differential - It is a Ford 9" Lincoln Versailles, full posi- traction rear-end with a new "Detroit Locker" locking traction system built in. The gear ratio is approximately 4:11 to1. It ratchets when you turn a corner, which is normal.
