This is such a rare find. An elegant family sedan of the sixties, designed by Michelotti, so unusual in this country and even more rare being the SEm model. Purchased from the 2nd loving owner, who deserves all the credit for how this car presents itself, we have continued to maintain it’s amazing condition. It has a ultra-smooth Borg – Warner transmission and shifts flawlessly. This transmission was also used in Jaguars, Stags, Volvos, Saabs, Studebakers and AMC cars. Parts are still available in USA. Its 2 liter engine (1,998 cc straight-6) is smooth and easily can cruise at 75mph on the freeways. Elegant wood trim in the cabin, amazing original seats, the cleanest gauge cluster ever. This might be the nicest TR2000 in the US. The styling is so cool for today, the way the roof overhangs the rear window, the Kamm tail, the off white color (called Cactus Green) with its offsetting black top………..most importantly, zero rust on this car. The engine compartment remains clean and tidy……… the exhaust note is just a smooth little purr……you can hardly hear the engine running. The car has an amazing collection of service manuals and brochures of the period. (see them in the car) The factory service manual has hundreds of pages and is loaded with proper illustrations. There are several color brochures which are charming, showing the style of advertising at that time period. There is also a complete factory parts manual.
