    Owner Comments:
1966 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible. An original California car that is in exceptional condition in every way… Loaded with options including Bucket seats. Sold New 8 miles from the owner’s house in 1966 by Casa De Cadillac of Sherman Oaks California I have the original blue warranty book and manual and the Cadillac salesmen card that sold the car in 66. Odometer reads 32400. Finished in a Dark Burgundy nonmetallic exterior the car received a complete quality re spray, everything was disassembled prior to prep and paint like the bumpers, trim, top, and glass. The paint is so beautiful, we had the body shop put some extra clear so we could have the car color sanded to perfection, the paint and prep was $9000.00 and three months’ time there was no rust repair needed, the car has no rust issues prior or present it was always stored in a garage in Southern California since new and it shows, the floors and frame rails are untouched and perfect. While the car was getting prepped and painted all of the chrome was sent out to get triple plated there is aprox 77 pieces and the bill for the chrome was $6800.00 after grinding them from $7500.00 and it carries a two year warranty and was just done in July of 2014. When assembling the bumpers we used new bolts, the side trim and lower Eldorado stainless also used all new clips, the car is complete with all of its Eldorado badging, trim and new weather stripping throughout the car including window channels and top frame. The top was replaced and instead of the standard top we chose to put a Mercedes Benz fabric top on with a glass rear window, there is a matching boot cover to put on when the top is down. There are new wheel Vintiques wire wheels with wide white radials that were purchased from Coker tire for $3200.00 there is less than 500 miles on the tires. Interior is finished in tan leather, and we used four hides, the leather carries its original pattern and is soft to the touch. The car has the optional bucket seats and they are power and working, door panels are excellent and the wood door caps were sent put and sanded and re stained. The car has Power wing vent windows, power windows, Power door locks, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, Autronic eye, and factory AC and cruise .Carpet and June padding is new. Dash is perfect, steering wheel has some small cracks in it. All power items work, Ac needs a shot of Freon. All interior lights are working as well as all exterior lights, horn etc. The original motor was completely rebuild in 2002 when the odometer read 12,400 this was done by Cadillac’s only a premier Cadillac service center for vintage Cadillac’s, I have the receipts and a stack of other receipts on the car showing the brake system, suspension system, cooling system, and trans has all been rebuilt and or serviced, here is a breakdown: May 3 2002 : Rebuild 429 motor due too excessive smoking, check AC ,brakes ,trans. Rebuilt gearbox, trans mount, trans modulator, front brakes, new intake manifold, rebuild power steering, etc. $8400.00 receipts are included for all work June 20 2002: replace and repair AC system and e brake $ 1200.00 October 30 2002 Repair non-working top $725.00 March 5 2004 Drivers window motor, rebuild carb, rebuild radio $700.00 March 4 2004 major service, brakes, power steering box leaking, re charge ac $2300.00
