1968 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible with the RARE 383ci 4bbl & "special cam" Super Commando engine 330hp!! Only less than 2500 Sport Fury Convertibles made and hardly any with this engine!! ONLY 72,000 original miles (undocumented) Offered here is an excellent example all original matching numbers rare 1968 Sport Fury Convertible. The fit and finish of this Sport Fury is absolutely stunning with a laser straight body that displays the color perfectly. The paint is in great shape making people stop in awe to stare but it does have a few imperfections. The clean lines and excellent styling of this Sport Fury are stunning. This car starts right up and drives like new, very tight steering and excellent brakes with tons of power! The interior is plush and super clean with bucket seats and power windows and power top. The impressive dashboard is immaculate and the entire interior has the distinct look and feel of the late 1960s. All the lights, gauges, power windows, and power top work like new on the Sport Fury. This incredible example of an all original unmolested Sport Fury Convertible has an undocumented but most likely original 72,000 miles. The only issue with the car is the missing a/c condenser. There were 3 Sport Fury's available in 1968 including a Convertible, Fast Top or Hardtop all with standard equipment which included all- vinyl bucket seats. A vinyl top was available in 3 different colors - black, green on green, and gold on white. Inside, there is a choice between a floor mounted console with transmission shift or center seat with a fold down armrest. Four engines are available including the standard 318 cu. in. V8, a Super Commando 440 V8, Commando 383 4-barrel V8, or a Commando 383 2-barrel V8. There were only 2489 sport fury convertibles built in 1968 and very few had the 383 engine and even less had this 4bbl & special cam "super commando" 383 engine which bumped the HP from 280hp to 330hp.
