1978 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible Champagne Edition. In 1977 VW issued one Champagane Edition Convertible to each U.S dealership. These vehicles are also know as Special U.S Sales Champagne Model S723. This was essentially a triple white convertible but used a sand colored top and had 4 gold stripes running along the bottom of the doors and quarter panels. Only approx 1000 of these cars we sold in the U.S. This example has only 7,000 original miles since new and is cosmetically original and has just undergone a full service. This car has also been in the same family since new.
