In the early 1990s, styling upgrades would bring America’s best-selling truck to the forefront with its smoother aerodynamics and squared off shoulders. This 21,075-mile 1995 Ford F- 150 XLT is all original and has provided its original family with pleasurable service until earlier this year, when it was sold. This F-150 is a well-preserved example that has benefitted from indoor storage since new when not in use. POWERTRAIN The 5.0-liter V-8 engine in this F- 150 is original and unmodified. Gifted with electronic fuel injection and engine management, along with rugged cast-iron construction, output was rated at 195 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque when new. The AODE four-speed automatic transmission functions properly and shifts “effortlessly.” No oil leaks present and the engine starts and runs well. EXTERIOR The all-steel body on this extended-cab, standard-bed 1995 Ford F-150 XLT is finished in Electric Red Clearcoat Metallic paint and is original with minimal imperfections. An aftermarket ARE bed cap is color matched, shows no damage and retains its sliding side windows. The weather seals are in good condition with no water leaks present while all lighting, from the curved headlights to the upright taillamps, are in original and good condition. INTERIOR The Opal Gray cloth interior is original to this F-150 XLT and the manually-adjustable seats show little wear on the upholstery. The analog instrument cluster with its digital odometer currently displays 21,004 miles and all switches and controls for the power windows and door locks are in good working order. The original AM/FM/cassette radio works the factory speakers and sits adjacent to the column-mounted shifter. In back, the original painted bed area shows very little wear. The AC blows cold air and the heater works as it should. CHASSIS Underpinning this F-150 is a sturdy full-frame chassis that features Ford’s Twin I-Beam suspension in front with forged steel transverse arms and stamped steel lateral links. A Ford 8.8-inch solid rear axle with a limited-slip differential housing 3.31 gearing is suspended by leaf springs. Power-assisted front disc/rear drum brakes provide confident stops, and hide behind the factory forged aluminum alloy wheels that are fitted with new BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2C tires, sized 225/75R15. The new matching spare is tucked underneath the bed. All components of the undercarriage are in very good working order with minor superficial corrosion and has been undercoated in the past.
