This car sold new at the "Burns Garage" Ford dealership in Burns, Oregon. Milred Skaar drove her new beauty home May 23,1959. The car has been in two major collections in south eastern Oregon since she sold it May 14, 1977. Having never left the dry high desert climate of that area it remains in close to perfect condition as any you will ever find. When Jullien Eceles bought the car from her in May of '77, it had ONLY 30,116 miles. The car had all the stainless and chrome removed for a bare metal repaint in February of 1995. The front and rear bumpers were chromed at the same time. The mileage at that time was 30,895. I discovered the car and was able to buy it June 2, 2021. The car was in my friends possession as the third owner for over twenty years and used sparingly and always stored indoors. The car has no under coating and shows only minor surface rust. We did NO detailing under the car and shows honestly the totally original condition, including some original factory inspection marks. The interior is 100% ORIGINAL. All the guages work, including the clock, radio and heater defroster. The Galaxie comes with the more deluxe interior and greater chrome and stainless trim, all of which is complete and near perfect. This may be the finest example of a 1959 Fairlaine 500 Galaxie in existance. The car is a joy to drive.
