    Owner Comments:
1935 Packard 1201 Eight Rumbleseat Coupe This 1935 Packard 1201 Coupe is a Full CCCA Classic, and has been beautifully restored in gleaming black with receipts that total $230,000 through completion in 2015 at Glenn Vaughn Restorations, a Packard Marque specialist. Equipment includes the powerful 320 Cubic inch straight 8 good for 130 horsepower with dual throat downdraft Stromberg carburetor, single rearmount spare, synchro-mesh 3 speed manual transmission, Thermostatic chrome radiator shutters, factory power boosted brakes, wire wheels, radio, and goddess of speed mascot and rumbleseat for occasional passengers. The Black paint and bodywork are of exceptionally high quality, and accented with the correct double belt line pinstripe color matched to the beautiful wire wheels. Gorgeous dashboard, with proper woodgraining and restored instruments. The tan leather seats and rumbleseats are done in soft, tan leather, and the 320 cubic inch straight 8 is detailed in the correct Packard Engine Green and black accessories. All of the chrome was done and looks fresh. It still has the original data plate on the firewall, an important authenticity item. It shows the 818 prefix that confirms the body and chassis type as a 1201 coupe, as documented in Turnquist’s “The Packard Story”. It’s a beautifully restored car! It does have a salvage title, and is titled to the engine number. Eligible for all Classic Car Club of America, Packard Club, and Antique Auto Club of America shows and events and a likely concours d’elegance competitor!
