    Owner Comments:
Originally purchased in California, and was stored in a barn in Salinas, California with a blown transmission from 1972 until 2005. It was purchased on E-bay in 2005 and underwent a professional frame on restoration by Anderson Brothers Automotive in Fort Dodge, Iowa. We purchased the car from Anderson Brothers in July, 2006 and drove the car back to California from Fort Dodge. At that time it had 61,588 original miles. The engine had never been out of the car and, even though it ran well, it leaked oil everywhere. It was a 292 cubic inch, 4 barrel engine. We had the engine rebuilt with all new parts including 312 pistons, mild cam, later distributor with centrifugal advance and a later manifold with a Holly 4-barrel carb. It's all 12-volt with a Chevy alternator. It's now about 306 cubic inches. The original tea pot carburetor is included in the sale. Also added was a Hidden Audio radio and CD changer, a complete brake system rebuild from master cylinder to shoes and an electric windshield wiper conversion. An air conditioning system by Old Air was installed in 2013 and works great. As of August 25, 2014 there are 71,891 miles on the odometer and, from what we have seen, believe it to be accurate original mileage. We pulled the original starter and generator off during the engine rebuild. That puts about 10,000 miles on the rebuilt Fordo-matic transmission and about 4,000 miles on the engine. Reason for the sale is to thin the herd. Too many cars and not enough storage. This car wins trophies at shows and can be comfortably driven anywhere.
