The basic principle of the Factory Five concept is to enable you to build a tribute replica of Carroll Shelby’s iconic Cobra Roadster. Being a kit of components, each Factory Five Cobra tends to be as unique as their owners. The basic Factory Five construction utilizes what is commonly known as a “Donor Car”. The most common donor car utilized is a Fox bodied Ford Mustang. With a wrecked Mustang a builder can remove the drive train and many of the cars other components. This provides a low cost car with ample power that is fun to drive. When this formula is done the value of the finished car ends up on the lower end of the spectrum. This is NOT one of these cars. NO donor car was utilized. ALL components were selected and installed from the top shelf, and were procured new. Most components are the sort typically reserved for professional competition. This Factory Five Cobra has approximately 2,100 miles on it since it became drivable in April of 2014. Everyplace this car has gone it has attracted positive attention.
