McCormick car auction features Cadillac restored for TV show

A 1961Cadillac Coupe deVille (Lot # 250) owned by Danny “The Count” Koker, star of the History channel TV show “Counting Cars,” sold for $63,000. The classic car, its restoration and sale, will be featured on the TV series during the new season beginning in February. The car was sold to a local Palm Springs couple.

A total of 330 vehicles sold at the Nov. 22-24 Collector Car Auction in downtown Palm Springs with a total of 522 vehicles crossing the auction block, a healthy 65% sale rate and above the national average for a reserve auction.

Jason McCormick, manager, said “Sales were brisk and attendance was high, thanks to sunny skies, warm weather and a wide variety of cars and trucks.”

A 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W30 (Lot #364) sold for $69,960.
